Abstract:	This thesis examines Clarice Lispector’s children’s literature based on the hypothesis that these works do not constitute a marginal or secondary deviation from her writing aimed at an adult audience, but rather fully integrate the author’s aesthetic project. The corpus consists of O mistério do coelho pensante, A mulher que matou os peixes, A vida íntima de Laura, and Quase de verdade, narratives that demonstrate the persistence of formal, philosophical, and ethical procedures characteristic of Clarice Lispector’s writing. It is argued that these texts operate as transpositions of the aesthetic core of her adult work, reconfigured through a playful and dialogical register without loss of conceptual density. The research adopts a bibliographical and analytical approach, engaging with established Claricean criticism—especially the works of Benedito Nunes, Olga de Sá, and Nádia Battella Gotlib—in order to identify aesthetic continuities across different genres and intended audiences. Initially, the study revisits the critical reception of Clarice Lispector’s work within the Brazilian literary context, highlighting early oscillations and the subsequent consolidation of her writing as a singular literary project. It then systematizes the central aesthetic principles of her adult fiction, such as metafiction, fragmentation, lyricism, figurative language, existential temporality, and epiphany.The analysis of the children’s narratives demonstrates that these elements reemerge consistently, shaping a literary practice that resists pedagogical simplification and positions the child as an ethical and aesthetic interlocutor. Childhood is thus understood not as a deficient stage of thought, but as a privileged ontological space of experience in which body, language, and perception are intensely articulated. The thesis concludes that Clarice Lispector’s children’s literature constitutes a fundamental mode of expression of her poetics, reaffirming aesthetic continuity across different phases of her literary production and expanding the critical field devoted to her work.
