Abstract:	Mendonça, Vanessa. University of Brasília. The main object of this research is to survey and study the collection of prints for fabrics designed by Fayga Ostrower in the 1950s and 1960s. Fayga started this project in 1951 in partnership with the artist Decio Vieira, who was more responsible for the administrative and commercial company. Both artists opened a store that served as a place to exhibit and sell not only fabrics but also works of art by various artists. The work is divided into 03 chapters and their sub-items. In the first chapter we deal with the open courses that worked at that time and that were important in the formation of the artist as a multiple and modern artist. In the Second Chapter we bring artistic influences, furniture, modernist architecture and how all these activities were touched by the abstract creations of Fayga Ostrower. In the third and last chapter, we present the collection and contextualize the groups of fabrics that we call symbolic or allegorical, as they are no longer figurative and abstracts, are informal or lyrical. In this study, we used the collection donated to the research by Decio Vieira's family, in the figure of Mrs. Dulce, his wife, who we called the D&D collection.
