Abstract:	The present work addresses how people politically organized by Design Activist, from 2018 onwards, promoted the transposition of techniques, tools, materials and processes from commercial design to activism, and what forms of resistance to this transposition were built. Going from the publication of imagery manifestos to commodification by expropriation, the following writings are supported by the native category of hacking, which organizes the process from commercial design to activism as an idea and action. Throughout the chapters, the meanings of hacking, as well as its technical and economic implications, will be tensioned, with the aim of exploring the limits of this deviation from capitalist practices permeated by design, through episodes such as the conversion of digital objects into printed ones, the massive extraction of data and metadata in a single Instagram post, the transformation of manifests into t-shirts and the expropriation of digital images for their printing on low added value clothing. Permeating references and methods relevant to the anthropology of technique and economic anthropology, this work approaches the ways of operating digital image files aimed at activism, not ignoring that these operations promote the transition and the imbrication between different realms of exchange and reproduction of images. At the end of this work, it will be possible to notice that commodification by expropriation does not offer a resistance impossible to hacking for passing by, but a way of reaching people that would not have been possible to reach before.
