| Abstract: | A disease with a drastic effect on the lives of people and on the economy of countries, COVID19 is a severe acute respiratory syndrome caused by the highly transmissible and virulent SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. Objective: To describe, based on scientific literature and documents, the economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Federal Nursing Council and the Regional Nursing Council of Amazonas in the year 2020. Method: Descriptive, qualitative, mixed method study, of the type narrative review of literature (RIL) and documentary research, carried out from August to December 2020. In RIL, advanced searches of articles indexed in databases (MEDLINE, LILACS and BDENF) and in Documentary research were performed searches on the websites of the Federal Nursing Council and the Regional Nursing Council of Amazonas. Results: The pandemic showed that the international and national economic recovery remains dependent on the evolution of COVID-19. The world scenario is one of continued resumption of activity with clear evidence that sustaining the recovery process depends on the evolution of the pandemic, the success of the containment measures and the speed and effectiveness of vaccination and immunization of the population. The loosening of financial conditions worldwide has led countries like Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa to take administrative measures to boost and activate their economies. n the Brazilian economic context, there was a drop in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and higher growth in the third quarter of 2020 due to the government's economic measures to combat COVID-19. In South America, Argentina and Brazil have high gross debt in relation to their GDP, with increased cost of social distancing mechanisms, affecting the goals of economic and financial stability. The Federal Nursing Council and the Regional Nursing Council, CORENAM, had to review their face-to-face and planned administrative actions through management decision-making to combat COVID-19 and contain costs to maintain the economic-financial balance, streamlining the internal routines of processing the processes by telecommuting / home office and carrying out settlements and payments and meeting emergency expenses caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Conclusion: The economic measures implemented to mitigate the effects of the pandemic are being reevaluated according to the needs and possibilities of each country and global policies will be decisive for the economies of the poorest and most indebted countries. Within the scope of the Federal Nursing Council / Regional Nursing Councils, there was a review of administrative actions, which had a strong effect on the economy of the councils. |
