Abstract:	This dissertation aims to study the articulation between ethics and anthropology within Immanuel Kant's philosophy. More precisely, it intends to explore how Kant, from the concepts of autonomy (ethics) and perfectibility (anthropology), seeks to elucidate one of the main questions that permeate the relationship between ethics and anthropology, namely, the question what is the human being? The relationship between autonomy and perfectibility becomes one of the cornerstones of Kant's practical philosophy, since it is on it that Kant's fundamental reflections are based, concerning not only morality, but also history, pedagogy and, above all, anthropology. In this sense, the present dissertation will be divided into the following thematic topics: the first chapter promotes historical- philosophical research. It aims to contextualize in Kant's thought the moment in which three philosophical currents have intersected, causing the fundamental lines of his debate on both the concept of autonomy and that of perfectibility, namely, the philosophies of Hutcheson, Wolff and Rousseau. The second chapter carries out a double task: firstly, the chapter aims to characterize in a precise way how Kant comprehends the notions of progress and perfection from his positioning within the debate carried out by the German enlightenment of the 18th century. Secondly, the chapter seeks to present human moral improvement at both the phylogenetic and ontogenetic levels, from the idea that individuals, at the limit of their powers, are also a decisive part in the process of perfecting the species. This idea would safeguard the Kantian philosophy from the accusation that it disregards the role of individuals favoring only the genus for the achievement of progress. The third chapter intends to investigate how the notions of teleology, perfection and moral destiny of the human being depend on a conjunction between moral anthropology and philosophy of nature, made possible by a teleological doctrine of nature. Such a teleological doctrine serves to legitimize the Kantian pretension of establishing a moral vision of the world and, therefore, to understand the progress of the human being as a continuous march of the human race towards its moral realization as a rational and free species.
