Abstract:	The university extension, established as part of the tripod of the public university by the Federal Constitution of 1988 (CF / 1988), is the bridge between university and community and must increasingly become an instrument for the formulation of effective public policies for social transformation. Despite the role given to the university extension by CF / 1988, the National University Extension Policy reveals that objective criteria have not yet been established for the evaluation of extension projects and programs (PEACs) within universities. PEACs must meet the objectives proposed by the National Extension Policy, which states that the university is committed to being an instrument of social change and must act in the search for dialogue with society. The question that supported this research is: what is a new evaluation method for extension actions at the University of Brasília (UnB) that considers the perspective of the different actors involved in extension projects and programs? To answer this question, a systematic review of theses and dissertations was carried out from 2008 to 2018 using the terms “evaluation”, “participatory evaluation” and “university extension” to verify what has been researched about the theme, in addition to analyzing the evaluation methods used in other universities. A focus group was also held with the technical-administrative staff of the Decanato de Extensão da UnB, which enabled the proposal of a new evaluation model that meets the objectives of this research. The results of the research indicate that the evaluation of university extension is centered on the figure of the PEACs coordinator, typically a teacher. It is proposed that a new evaluation method be made feasible which, based on the assumptions of participatory evaluation, considers the perspective of the different actors involved in UnB's extension actions. The product proposed by this dissertation is the creation of a conversation circle of PEACs participants, including students, teachers, technical-administrative staff, and the external community, so that the evaluation of projects and programs becomes effective.
