Abstract:	This dissertation makes an analysis of the reader and writer of the literary social network Wattpad, which is poorly studied by critics and demonstrates an interesting potential for understanding the contemporary literary field. For the discussion of the role of each of them involved in the platform, we took as an object of study the book Papo de Escritor, by Becca Mackenzie, published on the website, and some of its comments, which became a fundamental part of the book. As we delve deeper into this book and and relying on theories of other authors as Piglia (2006) and Jenkins (2009, 2014), we can see that the reader of this website has proved to be friend, enemy and beta of the writer. On the other hand, the author presented himself as an individual permeated by culture of his time and who, thanks to the internet, he had space to promote his production without the publishers. As a result of cyberculture, the relationship between literary reader and author is peculiar, or is captured in mutual dependence, or on a large scale for the use of Wattpad for their own benefit. Duo to the fact that the reader and author have voice, the relationship between then is considered democratic and, just as in the socioeconomic system, there are individuals who use this fact to build the platform together while others just want to indulge their individual literary desires.
