| dc.description.abstract | Foram utilizados dados relativos ao uso de hábitat por espécimes de Bothrops moojeni e B. neuwiedi (Serpentes, Viperidae) provenientes de doações ao Jardim Zoológico de Brasília, Universidade de Brasília, Jardim Botânico do Distrito Federal e de um experimento de semicativeiro. Os resultados indicaram forte segregação de hábitat entre ambas as espécies, sendo B. neuwiedi amplamente restrita a áreas abertas, enquanto B. moojeni utiliza principalmente a mata e o ecótono. Não foi encontrada diferença significativa na seleção de hábitat entre indivíduos mantidos isolados e aqueles confinados em um mesmo cercado. Assim, aparentemente, uma espécie não interfere diretamente na seleção de hábitat da outra. | pt_BR |

| dc.description.abstract1 | Our data regarding the use of the habitat by Bothrops moojeni and B. neuwiedi (Serpentes, Viperidae) was obtained from information related to specimens donated to the Jardim Zoológico de Brasília, Universidade de Brasília, Jardim Botânico do Distrito Federal, and also from a half-captivity experiment. The results show a strong segregation of habitat between both species, with B. neuwiedi largely restricted to open areas, and B. moojeni using mainly the forest and ecotones. There is no significant difference in habitat selection between the individuals maintained isolated and those confined to the same yard. Therefore, one species aparently does not interfere directly in the habitat selection of the other. | - |
