Abstract:	In view of the emergence of new informational demands and configurations and of sociotechnical interactions and ties, the “information” and “agency” constructs are associated in order to obtain subsidies for a reflection on the perspectives of “subject” in the field of information . To this goal, aspects such as the transversality of knowledge production, the historical trajectory of concepts and the creation of objects are considered, which allowed to identify that the study of subjects and informational agencies can permit the coexistence of traditional approaches, in the field of information science, with those involving transversal readings in connection with information philosophy and with the knowledge from fields within human and social sciences. In the case of the first approach - intertwined in the light of the idea of disciplinarity - aspects were presented that involve objective, subjective and social dimensions of information, taking as guiding agencies the search and use of information. In the second, the information and the agencies were thought from the notion of context beyond the limits of a single field, in a transversality of readings that can consider the politics, the ethics, the economy, in fact, not only the relation of the subjects with Institutions and with information technologies and resources, but with the assemblages present in daily life, in networks and multiple regimes.
