Abstract:	This work intends to analyze the June 2013’s demonstrations that occurred in Brazil as component of the family of antisystemic reaction in this time of world systemic downturn. Such uprising reverberated as a warning in the nation as well as internationally. However, the image that remained was of a spontaneous movement, a revolt of the population, who decided go to the streets to show their inconformity to all sort of difficulties. This dissertation analyses the movements that started those waves of protest, reaching a historic moment in the evolution of the Brazilian social activism. The events of June 2013 were not lightning in a blue sky. It arouse after decades of evolution of a truly web of social movements in the country, which exploded into many configurations at the time they went to the streets all over the country. However, the protests did not begin and did not finish in that June. The social activism responsible for triggering the revolt reached a boiling point that precipitated all latent frustrations felt by the people of Brazilian urban centers. How so many different social movements and a great mass of citizens acted in the same manifestations, each one with its own revolting agenda? This dissertation aims to investigate how the interplay of forces and interests influenced the struggle for space on the streets and their effect on the destiny of every social movement present in those events.
