Abstract:	This paper aims at analyzing the development strategies implemented by the Consortium for Health and Basin Development Urucuia and Northwest of Minas, in the implementation of Social Technology "Project Barraginhas" and their contributions to the region's sustainable development. In current times, it becomes necessary to establish integrated actions aimed at increasing cooperation and governance, providing conditions for local development. Economic growth can function as a driver of income, however the current context requires new public management arrangements aimed at improving the quality of life of people in a given territory. The questions that guide the four chapters of this research are aimed to analyze the actions and development projects in the Region River Valley and Northwest Urucuia Mine. To discuss the importance of the Consortium to leverage inter- institutional cooperation arrangements and new public management. Regarding the methodological perspective, research is diachronic, it encompasses basic bibliographic and field research with key actors in the intermunicipal consortium specific actions in the region Urucuia River Valley and at the same time, is analytic, because the base data lies in the social, educational, and productive environment of the study area. In this research, are exposed testimonials that allow us to interpret the difficulties and demands of the region, including the new possibilities of voluntary transfers and finally the analysis of the actions of intermunicipal consortium, through the agreement on Technical Cooperation "Barraginhas" Valley region Rio Urucuia in certain periods, as data availability. You can emphasize the importance of the involvement of other stakeholders aiming to qualify the debate and strengthen cooperation, governance, development and future sustainability of the strategic direction signed.
